天保 / 詩經 鹿鳴之什 小雅
1. 天保定爾、亦孔之固。俾爾單厚、何福不除。俾爾多益、以莫不庶。
하늘이 당신을 보호하고 지켜주시니 더없이 안정합니다. 하늘이 당신을 후덕하게 하시니 무슨 복인들 다 누리겠습니다. 하늘이 당신에게 많은 복을 내리시니 그 복이 한이 없습니다.
2. 天保定爾、俾爾戩穀。罄無不宜、受天百祿。降爾遐福、維日不足。
하늘이 당신을 보호하고 지켜주시니 더없이 복되십니다。 모든 것이 마땅하지 않은 것이 없으니 하늘의 온갖 복을 다 받으십니다。하늘이 당신에게 영원한 복을 내리시니 복 받는 날이 모자리리라。
3. 天保定爾、以莫不興。如山如阜、如岡如陵。如川之方至、以莫不增。
하늘이 당신을 보호하고 지켜주시니 흥하지 않음이 없으리로다。 산 같고 언덕 같으시며 산등성이 같고 구릉 같으리라。 마치 냇물이 흘러내려 물이 불어나지 않음이 없음과 같습니다。
4. 吉蠲爲饎, 是用孝享。禴祠烝嘗, 于公先王。君曰卜爾, 萬壽無疆。
吉日을 택하여 정결히 술밥을 지어, 이것을 효도로 祭享하여。 禴, 祠와 烝, 嘗을, 先公과 先王에게 올리시니。 君께서 너에게 기약하노라 하시되, 萬壽無疆으로 하시도다。
5. 神之弔矣, 詒爾多福。民之質矣, 日用飮食。群黎百姓, 徧爲爾德 。
神이 이르는지라, 그대에게 많을 복을 주며。백성들이 질박한지라, 날로 쓰고 먹고 마시기만 하나니。여러 백성이 두루 그대의 德을 실행하도다。
6.如月之恒, 如日之升。如南山之壽, 不騫不崩。如松柏之茂, 無不爾或承。
달의 초생 달과 같으며, 해의 떠오름과 같으며。南山의 장수함과 같아, 이지러지지 않고 무너지지 않으며。송백의 무성함과 같아, 그대를 계승하지 않음이 없도다。

Heaven protects and establishes thee,
With the greatest securtiy;
Makes thee entirely virtuous,
That thou mayest enjoy every happiness;
Grants thee much increase,
So that thou hast all in abundance.
2. 天保定爾、俾爾戩穀。罄無不宜、受天百祿。降爾遐福、維日不足。
Heaven protects and establishes thee,
It grants thee all excellence,
So that thine every matter is right,
And thou receivest every heavenly favour.
It sends down to thee long-during happiness,
Which the days are not sufficient to enjoy.
3. 天保定爾、以莫不興。如山如阜、如岡如陵。如川之方至、以莫不增。
Heaven protects and establishes thee,
So that in every thing thou dost prosper,
Like the high hills, and the mountain masses,
Like the topmost ridges, and the greatest bulks;
That, as the stream ever coming on,
Such is thine increase.
4. 吉蠲為饎、是用孝享。禴祠烝嘗、于公先王。君曰卜爾、萬壽無疆。
With happy auspices and purifications, thou bringest the offerings,
And dost filially present them;
In spring, summer, autumn, and winter,
To the dukes and former kings,
Who says, ' We give to thee,
Myriad of years of duration unlimited.
5. 神之弔矣、詒爾多福。民之質矣、日用飲食。群黍百姓、徧為爾德。
The spirits come,
And confer on thee many blessings.
The people are simple and honest,
Daily enjoying their meat and drink.
All the black-haired race, in all their surnames,
Universally practise your virtue.
6. 如月之恒、如日之升。如南山之壽、不騫不崩。如松柏之茂、無不爾或承。
Like the moon advancing to the full,
Like the sun ascending the heavens,
Like the age of the southern hills,
Never waning, never falling,
Like the luxuriance of the fir and the cypress;
May such be thy succeeding line!
